The first time I ever saw the show Extreme Couponing on TLC I wondered what it was about. The first time I watched it I could not believe my eyes. Someone could buy two huge cart fulls of food and pay thirteen cents for it all. In this article/video is about Rudy and she is a serious coupon enthusiast. Rudy estimates all her "stuff" worth around 3,500 and paid roughly $200. Rudy is the type of person who has to photograph her grocery hauls, so she can remember how much stuff she got for a little price. Rudy says, "I will never stop Couponing!!"
I think couponing is a great idea, but I don't think I could ever go to the extreme, because I wouldn't know where to start. If there is a coupon in a grocery add and it's something I need I will use the coupon, but to take the time to find different coupons online for the things you needs sounds way to time consuming for a college student.

This show is so crazy. The idea of couponing is great, but I find it so frowned upon that I wouldn't be able to do it. When I see coupons I sometimes take them if I know I can use them but I never end up doing it. I don't even know what I would do if I saw an extreme couponer, I think I would die of laughter.
ReplyDeleteI have heard of couponing through different shows like on television and I think that it is absolutely outrageous that people buy a whole bunch of stuff that they don't even need because they can get it for very cheap. I agree when you say that it would be too time consuming to find an array of coupons online especially for a college student.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, I use coupons if I see them and I plan on buying the item. Not only do I think that couponing takes a lot of time to do I feel like sometimes they get more than they need or that when they eat often their food is limited to certain items and they probably don't have a huge variety.
ReplyDeleteWhen that show first came out my mother was like I am going to do this... Well sure enough she did it but not to the extreme, due to a lot of places dont except several coupons at one time. I only use the coupons that I get for clothes, dont really have the time to save coupons for grocery shopping.
